Helen was educated as a Psychiatric Nurse, Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honors, and credentialed as a National Aging Life Professional.  Helen is the Founder of AA Care Services, has 30 plus years experience as a nurse,  and has been serving the elderly for greater than 10 years in 20 counties from San Antonio to Austin.  Helen has been an advocate for seniors and their families to assist in accessing appropriate resources.  Helen is an expert in long term care insurance, and assists in initiating and completing all Claim paperwork.  Helen provides Continuing Education to other Health Care Professionals, Caregivers, and Seniors at home or at  Senior Living Communitys.  Helen is “Always Available” and considers the senior care  business as her passion to helping everyone she encounters.

Karen Glenn is the Office Manager for AA Care Services. She has 20 years plus in professional management. She started by working for a large insurance company, but after the company moved to another state, she chose to stay in San Antonio and pursue other interests. Since then, she has worked for a CPA firm as an accountant and also an owner operator of her own business. She has been involved in every aspect of a business from the ground up.

Carol has 30+ years of experience as a Comptroller for both for-profit & non-profit Real Estate corporations. During the past 5 years Carol has been a Finance/Accounting Manager for an Attorney/Developer and a CPA firm in San Antonio.

Helen Flores, Branch Director comes to AA Care Services with a wealth of geriatric knowledge. Serving seniors in Bexar County for over 21 years, Helen’s vast experience in home care compliments our team. A graduate of UTSA, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Education, Helen started working in the assisted living realm of retirement living. Moving into programming for dementia care both in the retirement community and then at the Alzheimer’s Association, Helen found her niche.  She enjoys supporting her clients and their families. Care management is her forte, whether it be in the home, helping others understand dementia, or coordinating care within the community.

Jennifer has enjoyed working in the health care industry for 20 years, her passion for helping people is what initiated her career when she started working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a nursing home in 1999. She graduated from St.Phillips college with an associates in Business Administration, and attended UTSA. She has contributed her time in volunteering at the Alzheimer’s Association and takes pride in being an advocate for our clients.

Spring is a Licensed Vocational Nurse who has practiced nursing for greater than 30 years in the hospital, home health, and hospice.  Spring has worked at AA Care Services for greater than 6 years, and is deeply committed to helping the elderly age with dignity in their own homes.  Spring’s knowledge and love for teaching is greatly appreciated by the elderly clients, their families, and the Agency Caregivers.  Spring supervises the New Braunfels office, and performs admits and supervisory visits of  clients in New Braunfels, and surrounding communities.

Rochelle has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse since 2012 and has worked for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs caring for our Veteran’s who have sustained Spinal Cord Injuries as well as in the outpatient clinic. She also has experience with Home Health care for adults and pediatrics. Rochelle has a passion for helping people and sharing her knowledge. Rochelle grew up in the New Braunfels area and enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying all of the neat places New Braunfels has to offer.

Ellen is a native San Antonian who graduated from Winston Churchill HS and St. Mary’s University, with a BA in Political Science. She has served our seniors for the past 16 years. She worked in an assisted living and memory care community for 10 years. She then owned a concierge and errand service, tailored to helping seniors stay in their homes. For the past 4 years she has worked in her current field, providing homecare services to seniors. She joined AA Care Services almost 1 year ago, continuing her passion for serving our elderly, in the home.

Regina Yockey moved to New Braunfels from her home town of Fort Worth, TX. She is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University. After moving to New Braunfels, Regina opened a private daycare for children that started her interest in helping others. Her passion to provide a safe, loving, and caring environment moved her into the opposite end of life and took her to assist families in finding care for their mothers’, fathers’, grandparents or loved ones. Passionate about seniors, Regina has continued her desire by working with families to keep their loved ones safe at home with proper care.

She has been an Ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Association and went to Washington, D.C to ask our Congressman for more help in funding to fight this disease. Locally she has volunteered as a committee member of the New Braunfels Walk to End Alzheimer’s and has been the New Braunfels Chapter President of Central Texas Advocates for Seniors. In her free time, she enjoys staying busy with her high school sweetheart and two beautiful girls. She stays active and enjoys CrossFit. Regina is grateful to be a part of an amazing community and looks forward to helping many more families find care for their loved ones. Regina is a great resource for you and will help guide you through one of the greatest decision-making times in your life.

Our Nurse Administrator has more than 30 years of experience as an RN, psychiatric nurse, and geriatric care manager with adults as well as pediatrics in hospitals, private duty homecare agencies and residential home health care in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Austin. Our caregivers are experienced, educated and committed to reliable and compassionate care. They attend monthly in-services on topics like care of Alzheimer’s or dementia clients; care of bedbound clients; care of clients with progressive disorders like diabetes and Parkinson’s disease; special diets; confidentiality and HIPPA compliance; safety in the home; and more.

Each licensed caregiver is carefully screened and trained to ensure your peace of mind

AA Senior CareHome health caregiver applicants are interviewed by both the Human Resources Manager and the Nurse Administrator. All caregivers receive a verbal orientation and plan of care prior to arriving in the homes of clients with whom they are matched. Before being hired, all caregivers undergo:

Our Nurse Administrators are knowledgeable about Medicare, as well as long-term care and medical insurance benefits. And our office staff assists clients and families with accurate completion of long-term care insurance paperwork and submits it to the insurance claims department. Our services are tax deductible as medical expenses — we can help you with that paperwork as well.

Licensed and insured to provide homecare solutions at affordable rates

AA Care Services is licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. We hold liability and professional insurance, and are bonded. We are locally owned and managed. Our fees are based on a flat rate structure, and there is no additional charge for nights or weekends.
